Every two years, the small Australian town of Chinchilla pays tribute to its melon harvest by holding the Chinchilla Melon Festival where people not only eat, but engage in some of the wackiest activities using watermelons, like headbutting.

‘Melon-skiing’ proved to be another popular event at the festival. Organisers on both sides of a sloppy track pulled participants wearing watermelons as skis on their feet.
