This dog has a problem: his tail is either possessed by another dog entithy who wants to steal his bone OR is simply so silly. I also had a dog that did something like that and well sometimes dogs behave very silly. Any dog psychiatrist in the house?

Dog Star Brewing Company makes a specialty beer for dogs. The founder Jamie Miller says she wanted Kodi, her 120 pound Akita, to be able to let loose and enjoy an icy cold one.

Finding the right formula wasn’t easy. Jamie brewed experimental recipes on her kitchen stove and conducted taste tests with Kodi and other neighborhood dogs.

While Happy Tail Ale is brewed for canines, it costs as much as a six pack of microbrewed beer for humans. With the creation of Happy Tail Ale, Jamie thinks she’s become a better parent to Kodi.

An abandoned dog in Tokyo, Japan has been given a new lease of life after being given a makeover to make him look like a panda bear and be more appealing. Columbo, a poodle-maltese cross faced death after his owner got married until a pet shop owner rescued him, covering up his stained coat with black dye to make him more cute and appealing. Now he is the most popular dog on the block.

Dog Powered Scooter

It may not be re-inventing the wheel, but Mark Schuette’s invention called the “dog powered scooter” gives a whole new meaning to the term “four on the floor.” The architect by trade has spent the past year developing and refining his “K-9″ powered machine that drew more than a few stares at Venice Beach.

“People love to see dogs doing productive work,” Schuette said. The scooter, which sells for around 500 U.S. dollars, takes “walking the dog” to whole new level.”

While Schuette only sells about one scooter a month, he adds that his invention was never about getting rich, but more about finding ways to spend time with his “best friend.” He said the neatest thing is that the dogs really seem to enjoy the scooter and the exercise. “If you have a dog that always has a taunt leash that’s pulling, that’s about the same amount of force needed to keep the scooter at speed.”
